Our story

A 1952 heritage property in stone and clay, restored with respect for the original character.

Who we are

Casa da Tita

Casa da Tita is a small rural tourism property nestled in the village of Nave do Barão, comprising a group of buildings constructed using traditional stone and clay techniques native to the region, built in 1952 and restored to honour their original character.

The renovations created comfortable en-suite rooms in the main residential building, preserving the original colour palette (the Green Room and the Pink Room). The large cistern was transformed into the Cistern Room; the granary became an inclusive-access apartment; the hut and the hayloft became a rustic apartment; and the warehouse became a multi-purpose space for breakfast, leisure and reading.

On the rooftop terraces and in the almond grove — once used to dry figs and almonds — an overflow pool, sun terraces and esplanades were created, surrounded by carob trees, inviting guests to peaceful days and nights in harmony with the surrounding nature.
